I am actually replying to comments by Drs. Klein and Levy. First of all, I agree 100% with Dr. Levy. There is really little I can add, so instead I would follow up these and my earlier questions with a review of Dr. Klein's remarks. Everything Dr. Klein said may (I emphasis "may") be true, but it has nothing to do with biology and sexuality in terms of natural selection. All the psycho-babble about sexual orientation being fluid and dynamic only reinforces the fact that sexual orientation is a psychological phenomenon, not a biological one. Given that it is a psychological curiosity, the question of whether one sexual orientation embodies greater or lesser psychological disorder becomes irrelevant. The question is: what causes the different psychology in a very small proportion of the human population. And the question is not just limited to homosexuality, but includes bisexuality, transexuality, transgender identification, pedophilia, beastiality, and others. Clearly, such sexual "preferences", however expressed, have little to do with biology beyond some low level personality characteristics, and the questions to be discussed should be about what mix of personality (or personality traits) and environment lead to choices of sexual behavior and orientation that are in biological opposition to natural selection. As Levy and Ford said, answering these questions means moving beyond politics and politically correct positions and into the realm of real science. I'm not sure today's society will allow it. Thank you all for your discussion and the opportunity to comment. I would appreciate continued discussion on the theories of "inferiority complex" derived homosexual desire.
