Good Grief. Where do you find these Homosexual Males? In bathhouses, night clubs? I think you will find that if you are finding homosexual people to study in very urban/party-time environments their behavior will mimic that of hetero people in the same environment. I participated in the party scene in the late 80's and early 90's and I saw the drag queens and drama queens in the lesbian and gay world - I was a theater major. I saw the same drama/sex seekers in the straight world. When I went to clubs in my 20s there were men/women having sex in the bathrooms regardless of sexual orientation for meaningless anonymous encounters. I think you need to expand your frame of reference to include homosexuals in other communities. I live in a city with a very large population of gay males and females and have many homosexual friends. (actually, I call them my friends and leave out labels - but it is important that you know their orientation) I live in the suburbs, have a life-partner, have a professional job, own a pet, and have two kids. The exact same thing can be said by my gay friends. Our closest friends are a male gay couple/family: they have two kids, drive a mini-van, are celebrating their 7th "wedding" anniversary and have professional jobs. We are in the mid-west and they go to the VFW with my husband and I for the "all you can eat" walleye fish fry on Wednesday nights. We share a babysitter! Our 7th wedding anniversary party is going to be held at their house.. We also have 2 sets of lesbian neighbors and they are the spitting image of my husband, me, and our friends... I strongly believe that homosexuals in any community will reflect the same values, behaviors, and goals as the hetero people in the community. Heck, all of us out here in the suburbs in middle class/mid-america chose to be here because we like to be honest, hard-working, stable, god-fearing, family-oriented people. One set of our homosexual couple friends are even MORE religious that we are. I don't like to hear these awful generalizations about gay people.
