webcams

I wanted to know what you think about webcams and their owners' psychology. Why do people start webcams? (I'm basically talking about personal cams here.) Do you think webcams are now a very important part of cyberspace? Have they put 'virtual reality' on a backseat, or are they just another extension of it?
