    Transition to organization development
Susan Smith · 10/17/97 at 11:17 PM ET

I am also interested in transitioning into a full time position in OD. Help? I have a masters in counseling and bachelors in industrial psychology and many years working in various positions in the psychiatric hospital industry including: management, marketing, utilization review, program development and administration. While in that role, I have kept my "feet wet"by doing a number of workshops and training in organizations in areas like managing organizational change. Prior psych hospitals, I was in sales. How difficult do you think it will be for me to "break into the field"? Do you think addtional course work is necessary? Any suggestions of types of organizations I should pursue? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance. Dimmples@aol.com
