I also am writing my thesis, (masters in HRD at University of Texas) and I'm looking for a model to critique. I will analyze the model from the perspective of my recent experiences re my career. The story goes a little like this: I had been a part of a heavily insulated organizational development/training section of a government organization. In a time of great organizational upheaval, I went to grad school and began to have a different perspective of my career and abilities than I had previously. This "second social mirror" allowed me the stimulus I needed to leave the organization proactively. My coworkers, who resisted leaving the comfort of their same roles and community, were all laid off within two weeks of my departure. There had been a good deal of anger that I was so "disloyal" as to discuss the potential for other employment opportunities... I want to write about my internal dialogue and the inter-team tension created by changing roles and perspectives. Any info on models that might fit this? Thanks francelia.oxford@usa.net
