    Re:the handshake?

    You, are exactly correct. Dr. Erickson's use of the handshake-induction as experimental technique with his graduate students and seminar attendees. They gave their permission for Dr. Erickson's to conduct experiments and to be hypnotized as demonstration subjects. When clients sought help from him he was known to use hypnosis as a tool and they often desired that state. If they did not, he did not both using hypnosis with them. In my experience he was quite thorough in his specifying the problem and/or goal with his clients and only worked with those parameters.

    Thank you very much for bringing a pertinent focus to this thread.
