    Ain't it the way sometimes!

    Emily:

"Let me count the way..." How many times do things change for clients and we just are not sure how or why? I am sure all have had sessions where client explains how things are truely different(and appears as 2nd order), we give ourselves some strokes...then at end of session client explains she/he: won the lottery; met a wonderful person; parent suddenly recontacted them; etc. etc.

In terms of family therapy, I think it becomes a problem when it is rigidly adhered to and 'labeled' as such. Many still don't understand 'family therapy' CAN consist of seeing members individually not just meetings of the whole family in one room.

Isn't it the way, too, the longer we are in the work, the more we realize what we don't know, how much we forgot, etc. yet can more 'go with the flow' and SOMETHING happens?
