    Re:Constructions and Reconstuctions of the slef in virtual reality

    Like Turkle, I see the use of altered identities in cyberspace as going in two possible directions. A person may use identity experimentation and lifestyle in cyberspace to work through personal issues in a beneficial way. On the other hand, people play with identities sometimes just to "act out" their feelings without reaching any understanding of why they are doing it and without any personal benefit. It's just a way to cathart.
