What are some of the boundary issues raised by giving an email address to a client. The potential exists for overuse, just as a client may overuse voice mail or an answering machine. Also, a client may bring up issues in email and refuse to discuss them in therapy, just as with voice mail. What are some reasons for giving a client an email address? How could this benefit the therapy? How could it do harm?
