I'm working on a thesis about online counselling and the therapeutic relationship. This research will be presented at the BAC Research Conference in May. If anyone is interested in this research, my website about it is at www.onlinecounsellors.co.uk, and I welcome participants. Briefly, an online chat about your experience as an online counsellor or client is all that is required. Alternatively, if anyone would like to discuss the online relationship here, that would be great. My point is that the relationship is different from face-to-face counselling, but not neccessarily inferior. The concept of telepresence, where the medium used (in this case the 'pooter) disappears and you are actually talking to another person, is a real one and should be utilised. Look forward to all opinions. Kate
