Re:gender switching in chat / MUDs

As a server owner and also a avatar site owner in Voodoo Chat. I am privy to seeing the gender changes which you talk about. Alot of the time even with gay men taking on female persona's they are also chastised by lesbian women. So alot of it isn't a fun thing for them to go thru. In most cases you will notice that it is the male changing to female. Alot of straight males will do that to gain access to lesbian only sites to see if they have what it takes to convert them. They should just give up and not bother but they don't. The main thing I have noticed for a gender change is more to hide from someone or someones Alot of people I have seen over the years do that as they set up new names. If you folks want to see for yourself you shopuld come to Voodoo chat and spend sometime in their. It provides a good environment for your studies and is an ideal place because the people are all friendly and willing to help.
