Conceptualize the semantics, yes, that was the problem indeed. And my own momentary laps of memory.

Certainly training parents to employ behavioral methods with a daughter or son would, as I understand it (Beth told me), be part of applied behavior analysis. And, it would occur, hopefully, primarily or only after a scouring functional analysis. It would be a mistake, and most often unethical, to simply do a functional analysis and nothing more.

I do appreciate your concern and your perceptive, well articulated response.

Also, I have always appreciated Brian's laser-like focus, especially when it comes to his work with self-injurious behaviors. Should you see Brian, please great him for me.
