I was a visitor to Synanon about 19 years ago, and found it to be a fascinating place. What has happened to the people there since the closing? Have they remained drug-free? How did they mainstream into "normal" society - not only the persons with drug problems but the (I believe they were called) - "lifestylers"? Any books or articles or studies written to follow up on the past members? I'm not in the medical/ psychological profession, but just interested.
