…if one is lucky. You got that right. And it is a very big IF.
That’s why in the end, psychotherapy is all talk, with no guarantees that what ever psychotherapist you have, can or will help you (or even harm you, purposefully or not). And often a client will not find out whether or not it has helped, until the therapy is over. That is why ethics in psychotherapy are a fallacy. There are none; it’s a crap shoot.
