Anon: Remember, those stupid people are the ones who write your paychecks...

Jay: I know. I'm worth every penny and more. They need me.

Anon: Without them you would not have a comfortable living and could not cajole around with your highbrow friends.

Jay: You are quite right. And it will be a wonderful day for all of us when I and all my highbrow friends will be out of work because we are no longer needed. Meanwhile, we are badly needed and thus well paid.
