    work/life benefit interventions

    With the changing workforce (more women, minorities, globalization, etc.), there has been an increasing focus on the quality of work and life. Research suggests that implementation of several work/life benefits (telecommuting, flex-time, on-site child care) can reduce absenteeism and turnover and increase employee satisfaction and performance.

    My question is, how do OD consultants prepare for this trend? What are the implications of these trends for the OD profession as a whole...and finally, how would an OD consultant get buy-in from management that these types of interventions is the way to go??

    Any ideas, thoughts, or insight would be greatly appreciated.
