The problem of resistance to change starts with the folks who are supposed to be "change agents" who are afraid even to talk about change...It's mainly hype. The OD profession is an image profession. There are task professions, there are person professions, there are role professions, there are power professions. This profession is an image profession, which means people maintain image by not speaking the unspoken, but advertise themselves as facilitators of change. I wish it were different!!
