Consult your local YMCA and talk to the executive director. The Y has respect for employees as part of its managerial policy. How they get people to work so well together (the pay rate is not terribly high either) has to do with everybody respecting eachother. Confrontations and discipline issues are ALWAYS done privately, and are solution-oriented rather than blame-oriented. The director may be able to help you, or refer you to the national headquarters in Chicago.(they have an 800 number.) They also have management training programs, specifically for Y employees, but they are at a university in Illinois, I believe, and are open to anyone. The national headquarter should be able to give you more info.
