Gosh, Gosh!!! I hope it isn't too late for you to receive this message. I think it would be best if we could carry this dialogue by e-mail. My e-mail address is workfamily@workmail.com. I also research shame and humiliation issues at work. I'm coauthor of a book on the topic. I'm extremely interested in your work as would Don Nathanson who can be reached at his shame forum, which is not very operable right now because it is so long that it shuts off before the latest messages can be read or added. There is a movement afoot on the internet to deal with abusive work. I'm trying to find a way or a place to establish a forum devoted to this topic alone. Now is the time because it's hot---as your message also proves. You will note if you have watched this forum over the years that difficult issues are not discussed in depth...that's the norm in the forum. So it's not likely you will strike up a lively discussion. I mean no blame here at all, norms are just the way things are, they are the group rule. I think there is hesitation to speak about difficult issues generally in the OD profession---which would be another topic not likely to be discussed. Note that I have an OD degree from Pepperdine, so I know about denial in this profession. I'm also a licensed family therapist, where denial gets in the way of healing. My name's Chauncey Hare and I'm in San Francisco. you can visit my web site on the topic of work abuse at <http://www2.netcom.com/~workfam1>.
