I have been working as a therapist for a number of years, very much influenced by the work of Erickson. While I hope my effectiveness has increased my income has not.For instance a long-term heavy gambler who got what he wanted and yet described the session to others as a complete waste of money.
In "Developing Ericksonian Therapy" Lynn Johnson describes the cost of working in certain styles the result being patients give you less credit. It is not the credit I want so much as the possible referrals.Any suggestions please.
