    ?Death of Family Therapy
Harry Edhouse · 12/30/97 at 7:56 PM ET

Bob Dylan was quoted as saying,

"If you're not busy being born, you are busy dying".

I believe Family Therapy is changing, and needs to change away from the old compulsive whole-family models and towards the core dynamic which needs addressing. One can't and should not drive a family group into type of relating that is not their own, but should discover the blocks to its own on-going development and work to release these. Its destiny is its own, not yours or ours. Help it give birth to itself.
