    Re: Disengaging the Adult

    I am sorry, I do not know of any specific cases of Erickson disengaging adults. You could check The Uncommon Casebook by O'Hanlon and Hexum.

    In disengaging maladaptive relationships, at times Erickson was quite direct and authoritative. At other times he would set up circustances so that involved parties would spontaneous conclude that separation was in everyone's best interest.
