.. the skill is then to observe & learn the triggers for the benefit of the client. My first Hypnotherapy teacher said, 'it's a matter of getting the knack.' Some people can & some can't. Some people can swim well & others are just unable to learn for whatever reason. I have been studying 'dowsing' for some time now because I think that there is a similar connection between the ability to induce trance to finding water & electricity cables with a wire. I have met people who can find water by sensing the presence of water without using any gear. For many years I have also been doing Taijiquan & Qigong training & studying Traditional Chinese Medicine that is based on the idea of Qi flow. The notion that the human body, like the earth is influenced by magnetic-like fields. To heal using this system is about adjusting the Qi flow by reducing or increasing the flow by using needles, herbs, laser, exercise, meditation .. to bring the body's systems into balance.
