Hi Steve,
Thanks for your reply.
the idea of feeling better, more capable , and happy fills her with dread. Who would she be if she wasn't what she knows of herself, ie in a cycle of good /bad which is what she has accustomed herself to?
there is an identity issue here, including low self worth
going back to when she was two years of age and her father
spanked her for breaking some china and telling her she was a very bad person. In a sense she has carried forward the dread of breaking any more china all her life.
She reports a sense of having to do everything, including work, play, and doesn't feel that she ever does anything well enough.
Though she is very bright, eldest in the family her brother and sister both graduated from university and are working in large corporations towards well paid professional jobs. She left Croatia 6 years ago, came to London and got into an
alternative lifestyle. She tries every cure going though she has recently understood that she was avoiding some deep emotional issue which she is not yet conscious of.
I'm currently working on this with her using NLP and Symbolic Modelling( exploring the metaphors she uses)
I haven't tried formal hypnosis.
are there any particular references in the Answer Within which might be useful.
Thank you for your attention,
Warm regards,
David Kenna
