I am aware that Brazilian transe is not Ericson transe.. but..... Did Erickson invented the transe? From what I understand he did not.. R we talking about differences in cultural aspects of the transe and its purposes?? Or r we looking for different kinds of transes ??? I really do not think so.. The transe is the transe, period.. light or deep, wild or guided, organized or ritualized etc...
Erickon I believe worked with a american woman (madelaine something ?? I am sure that S. Langton knows her name) who also investigated the Brazilian transe and made a movie out of it( sorry can't remember the title right now, writing in a hurry sorry..).My idea was to establish the analogy of the 2 phenomena and their purposes..Well At least this is the way I see it..:-))bye!!
