i am about to undertake a Masters dissertation in the field of emotion generation on the internet and how this can be applied to best practice guidelines for online communities. i am eager to hear from people who have any kind of perspective on this subject. Has the field of cyberpsychology been used alongside the development of online communities or does it remain an academic afterthought to developments within the www?. What emotions do people think are most pertinent in terms of the internet and how can these be harnessed to increase productivity/contributions and a sense of 'belonging' to particular groups/communities. If anyone is aware of any pertinent research in this area they could point me towards or if you simply have an opinion of your own i would love to hear it. Thanks for your time.
