Can Virtual-Personas Display Mental-Disorders?

As individuals submerge themselves into a 'virtual persona' within a virtual community, can this alter ego be said to show (or inherit) the mental disorders of the 'real' person?

Further...Can virtual personas be said to evolve seperately from that of thier hosts, and if so might it be possible for a virtual persona to develop it's own mental disorder?

Can anyone help me with refining these issues - and maybe supply some comments to these discussion points.
