I read your articles previously John and I'd like to contribute a few thoughts towards it. I have been thinking about transference lately. Do you think maybe we attribute our cultural and thinking patterns, maybe our very subjectivity on to them. And so this person in part, comes from your "self"...and then Hmmm....what do you think? Just some thoughts on it.
It came to me in a way that I hadn't
thought of before. That the person I communicate with via email may be "manufactured" in many parts by me.
Now what I mean by that is...because we have never met...because of the blanks, because of things that I can never know about them...
the everyday things and maybe the fact that you
can never "know" someone totally. Because of that, I
think maybe we tend to fill in the blanks with parts
of ourselves...with what we think...but probably more
importantly... how we think!
feelings and emotions may also be attributed to them
that just may not be there.
