Is this "huge gap in what we expect to be communicated and what is actually present" filled by the emotes? i think it may be the case, as i said before after i have finished my research i will maybe be able to at least try and answer my own questions, i just re-read my messages and i think im baisically just trying to type out as many ideas as i can think of in some hope that a hypothesis might suddnly spring up , i came up with one ...techniques such as smiley faces and exentuated words are used in internet chat to replace non-verbal communication.

there now what does everyone think?
Do we have things ion chat on the net as we do in real life live speach such as "turn Taking" do we wait for cues? ect.
