lack of control in therapy

I am a graduate student at The George Washington University, studying Art therapy. I’m working on my thesis, I'm looking for information about the lack of control of the client in a psychiatric ward or in within a special education school setting. I want to prove how the lack of control the client is dealing with can be dealt through art therapy, how the client can gain control over his aggression (Out-bursts or self-distraction) and by that gain control over his/her life.
