    Analytical Psychotherapy Trainee losing faith
    by Barry, 9/23/97

I am in the fifth year of a part-time analytical psychotherapy training in the UK. The training demands twice and thrice weekly therapy for the duration of the training. So far I am in the tenth year of my own therapy and I am begining to loose faith in the practice. It feels that the demands of personal therapy are too long and it feels like pyramid selling. I work as a full-time counsellor but find that over the last year I am getting depressed with the work. Is this a common reaction in training. Your own experiences would be most welcome. thank you.
