Re:Advice on Counseling / Therapy

A few thoughts that came to mind when reading this tragic story.(I am uncertain of a diagnosis, does it need one?)

Does this husband actually love his wife? What does he feel he gains when his wife has a baby? Why is there an insistance on his part, as this sounds like he sees his wife as a machine.

The insistance sounds like this man needs to think about the cause and effect of his actions and the wife about his long term ability to be a useful / caring father otherwise I have a hunch that two little children will be traumatised aswell as the wife.
