You wrote: "His research and sources go on and on..." I have no wish nor time to analyze all of Dr. Pope's excellent research nor too criticize Dr. Pope's reasoning. I do want to make it clear that at this and other BOL forums postings often appear that lack careful reasoning, in my opinion. For example, the implication in the above posting that "going on and on" about statistical or about any other facts is the same as clarifying possible interpretations of those facts is about as lucid and saying that reading the dictionary of a foreign language is a good way to learn to the language. The fact is facts prove nothing; we must interpret facts to make them even intelligible. There are lots of things that have to also take place before one can even begin to read the dictionary. Similarly, statistical or other facts of any kind can tell us nothing untill we begin to think clearly and carefully about what they could mean and about the merits of the different ways they can be interpreted.
