In my experience dealing with the system, a child is likely to lie or cover up the truth to return to a situation that is familiar. I feel that it is in the best interest of the child to not return home because of the possibility that sexual abuse did occur and might likely happen again. I am personally not fond of foster care and residential or group homes, but I strongly feel that it could be detrimental to the child if they return home.
