Good question. Unfortunately, I think our society does socialize women (to a futher extent than men) that they only exist within the context of relationships. Getting the female client to understand that what is going on inside her partner's head doesn't have to have anything to do with her will take some doing. I sometimes use a metaphor about dining at a nice resturant, where both partners are enjoying different dishes. The same can apply to sexplay; they both can be indulging while fantasizing about unrelated stories.
