A recurring theme of the laypersons' posts on this subject was their desire to talk about their transference with someone other than the therapist toward whom they have feelings. How often do you find yourself working this issue with new patients about their former therapist? What seems to be helpful for them? How do you handle the ethical issue of patients who have been working with therapists who were obviously limited or wounded themselves?
