And not all people who use heroine get addicted or overdose, but does that heroine use should be considered safe? I'm curious as to the longitude of those studies. Did they follow the children several decades into adulthood, or did they just look at the picture after the abuse had stopped? Many children don't show the effects of the sexual abuse until decades later. Many overachieve for decades only to hit a point where it all catches up with them and they crash and burn. Sorry, but I think the vast majority of victims have some sort of very deeply engrained problems as a result of the sexual abuse. I've read a few of those studies too and they didn't look too deeply at the participants or for too long.
