It may be that he found it easier in the past to just hire a woman when he had the urge than 'jump through hoops' & put in time & money to please a date & all the ego stroking & horeshit that takes without knowing whether he'd get the 'reward' at the end of it all.

If he is really serious about finding a woman who would be interested in washing his dirty work clothes, making his lunches & dinner, sleeping with him, listening to him when he's in a grumpy mood & rewarding him as the urge arises then his money would be better spent on advert on the local bulletin board or newspaper saying just that.

I wouldn't hold my breath though. There are plenty of women out there who will want all his assets & not just a nice fee for services rended.
