As to what may be happening 'scientifically' may well be impossible to say. There are a lot of 'traditional' practises being passed around nowadays. Many are taught & even done in a hit & miss fashion.

One that I know about that is authentic - is for an older person to 'absorb the energy' from a much younger partner using 'specific skills' to replenish the 'life force.'

What happens in fact that the younger participant ages quite noticeable in the weeks/months that the sexual association continues. Simply because the Qi/Chi/Prana is being drained.
