Mishandling of sexual issues in therapy certainly does leave clients with feelings of betrayal or shame for feelings. I have wanted to write some more in moving beyond transference issues. "Care of the Soul" (Jungian) by Thomas Moore recommends going with rather than against what arises in a clients soul. Such as, seeing the value of the soul's capacity to love.
