People who are chronically late ARE NOT having difficulty managing time. In fact their time management is perfect, precise, analytically expert. They are not sloppily thoughtlessly late. They are precisely, expertly deliberately ALWAYS the same amount late. The reasons (which I haven't a clue to) have nothing to do with unawareness of time. They must lie elsewhere. My wife, who is a better woman than any man has right to hope for, is breathtakingly, incredibly, unimaginably late for all things. Today for example she was waiting for me to come home so she could go to the store. She called me at 6 and I said I'd be there by 7, she was waiting to go out. In our lives many many things are missed or fail because she is late. It creates a hardship for our family. If I say anything, anything at all however carefully approached - I am excoriated with flaming rage. It isn't time management at all - the cause is elsewhere Isn't it within the capabilities of the therapy establishment to examine this and make some findings ?
Programs to train time management are so idiotic as to deserve the label "assinine"
One writer above in the thread who identifies as an offender suggested several possibles without claiming any for themselves. But honestly it has to have something to do with forcing other people to accept them.
I arrived at ten minutes to seven - she left the house to go to the store at 9:20 - the entire time between being comsumed with "getting ready to go to the store"
But in fact, the people trapped in it would rather be otherwise
