Yes, many people are in a rush. They do want to be first and do cut each other off on the road. Moreover,what you say regarding truth and motivation -- all this is accurate for some people and not accurate for many. True too, some people do not want to hear the truth and they have their reasons most often. The job of a consultant as you know -- is to work through these resistances and build on clients positive motivations. Saying that most people are not motivated makes me think that this is a working assumption that you have -- and if my asssumption about you is accurate -- then your holding such a working assumption (that people are not motivated and do not want to change)can block you from helping people change.

As far as being human -- I am sure you are as well as am I.
