Points of Influence by Morley Segal
Charlie Seashore · 11/25/96 at 10:51 PM ET

Morley, co-founder of the American University/NTL Masters of Science program in Organization Development and a long time colleague in our field has just published a wonderful book linking individual level theories in learning with the effectiveness of interventions at the organization level. This book was the basis for a successful NTL program called Why Interventions Work. It explores the basic contribution of theorists such as Lewin, Rogers, Freud, Horney, and Perls to the understanding of the points of influence we have in implementing change in organizations. It is a 1996 publication from Jossey-Bass. It is an excellent reference source for OD practitioners, especially those who are not well grounded in personality theories.
