Defensive Behavior and how to recognize it in yourself

I am a Corporate Trainer/Performance Development Specialist. Currently, I am writing a corporate workshop focusing on managers with defensive demeanors that they aren't aware they are manifesting. My module includes a great deal on effective communication; however, before I begin the research, does anyone have a suggestion on books, papers, or websites that would provide helpful info/data?
