nowhere in the original post did i read that the therapist asked for anything from the client - not understanding, not sympathy, not to discuss the issue - sounds like just relaying facts - husband ill, might effect our sessions, the end. the client took on the burden of worrying on his/her own. this is the issue that should be discussed in therapy. (imho)
