After six months of seeing you regularly, your therapist should know better as to what diagnosis to use. If she does not know by then, despite the fact that you may like her as a person, she probably does not know what she is doing for your particular situation and it might be better for your course of therapy if you were to start interviewing a few different therapists. Sadly the profession is filled with too many therapists who don't diagnose well; many don't even take notes, which they should. Usually it’s the therapists who don’t keep case notes are the ones who don’t come up with good diagnoses.
