I am no forensic expert, but I would imagine that standardized testing would be a pretty big part of the evaluation. I don't know that, in this context, the school of therapy you adhere to would mean very much, since you're not conducting true psychotherapy anyway. The problem one might encounter in this situation might be validity and reliability within a cultural framework (how many Iraqis were part of the normative sample of the MMPI, for example?). I think when you move away from well-established standardized testing, be it toward Gestalt or anything else, you become more vulnerable. Then again, experience must count for a little something, especially if you have a good reputation.
