Yes, in a small group "teaching seminar" he discussed a variety of times he instructed people in art and he often had them use a different method. Frequently, the people couldn't see their changes and how much they had accomplished and could only appreciate it after he had recognized it and helped them discover it. Often people viewed their own art as unsatisfactory. Sometimes they consciously couldn't recognize something they had produced and thought it was meaningless, yet their creation was clear to others who saw it.
