Language used in Hypnosis

I am a Chinese in H.K. I've read some books in Hypnosis written in English and some in Chinese, I find there are discrepancies in the Chinese translation of the scripts, evenworse, most people here speak Cantonese instead written Chinese. I have a question in mind, if the person to be hypnotized is a bilingual, does his/her unconscious mind can also understand the two languages he/she speaks ?
