    Erickson adapted to Experiential Learning.

Hi. This is my first posting here. I’m a Ph.D. Candidate at the University of Virginia. I’m quite curious about how Ericksonian style therapy has been applied to group "processing" or "debriefing" strategies used in the field of formalized experiential learning.

(The seminal work that adapts Ericksonian methods to experiential processing is Stephen Bacon’s 1983 book, "Conscious Use of Metaphor in Outward Bound." For one overview of experiential processing see http://tscnet.com/~experien/facilitation.html).

I'm very much like to hear from any of you who are familiar with my field, or who have opinions about how Ericksonian methods - specifically conscious use of metaphor and variations on the Double Bind - have been adapted to experiential or outdoor learning programs. This topic, and the alternative processing model I'm developing, are the subject of my Ph.D. research.

Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom,
and thanks to the moderators for a very engaging website,

    Jake J. Mazulewicz
